Angela M. Tate currently serves as the Vice President of Operations at Behavioral Health
Response (BHR). She started with BHR as a front line phone clinician in 2007 when she
developed a passion for helping those living with mental health challenges. Angela has
held various positions within BHR including Mobile Outreach Clinician and Director of
Clinical Services. She earned her Bachelor of Arts Psychology from Maryville University
– St. Louis and her MEd in Counseling from University of Missouri St. Louis. She is a
licensed professional counselor (LPC) in the State of Missouri. Angela is a skilled
clinician and administrator proving that the two don’t have to be mutually exclusive.
Angela is an alumnus of several leadership development programs including the St. Louis
Business Diversity Fellows and Leadership St. Louis as well as National Council’s
Addressing Health Disparities Leadership Program. Angela is an accomplished trainer
and is certified as a Youth Mental Health First Aid trainer and an Applied Suicide
Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) trainer. Angela has been a member of NASCOD
since 2013 and joined the Board of Directors in 2017. Angela is active in her community
and serves on several boards. She serves on the Executive Committee of Paraquad’s
Board of Directors and chairs the Program Committee. Other boards where she serves
include Mental Health America – Eastern Region, Deaconess Nurse Ministry and Great
Circle Regional Council – Eastern Region.
