Peer Support Call, March 26, 2015 – Dese’Rae L. Stage and Live Through This

NASCOD Members are invited to join Peer Support calls in order to benefit from the valuable experience of other members as well as receive support for the work we engage in.

Our March Peer Support Call is:
Thursday, March 26, 2015, 3:00pm – 4:00pm EST

Dese’Rae L. Stage and Live Through This

If you have not met, heard or seen Dese’Rae, this is your opportunity. I am so excited that Des agreed to be on the March Peerinar. Words cannot truly express my affection and admiration for Des. She created the Live Through This (LTT) project www.livethroughthis.org and is a major advocate in the lived experience community AND we get to talk to her for an hour. I am also sharing a blog that a friend wrote about incorporating lived experience and LTT into clinical work with suicide attempt survivors.

Here is Sean Erreger’s blog https://stuckonsocialwork.wordpress.com/2015/03/17/tools-for-practice-tuesday-live-through-this-photo . Sean’s blog is also a great resource to check out.

Des has been instrumental in supporting me as I learn to live in my own lived experience skin, so to speak, and this is a peerinar you do not want to miss.

To join the Peer Support Call you must be a member of NASCOD and a part of our list-serve. Information on the conference call is posted to the list-serve prior to the call date.
